no I'm finally starting my senior year. whoop whoop!
Well, I flipped through the third SotD the other night for some light bedtime reading, and it mentioned that Kyle and Catty's destinies were intertwined- but as enemies or allies he didn't know.
I didn't read SotD 4 so I don't know if it expanded on that. prob. not.
but now that the series is coming to an end- how do you guys feel that's gonna tie into the plot of the finale?

i think lynne is not gonna follow through with the whole "kyle and catty's destiny" thing bcos she has to fit a lot of things into dotm13 and i dont think she can add the catty thing into this book, since it only has about 290 pages (according to amazon).
i dont think maggie's daughter is gonna make an appearance anymore either. i hate LYNNE ugh! she probably planned the whole series out but got sidetracked with sotd and soi so she cant write the ending she always planned to write for dotm.
i mean, who the heck writes a long 12-book series and then starts two new book series without ending the first one? she's so weird..

I think she found a way to constrain everything that needs to be said into book 13.. have faith MG.

In SOTD after Kyle gets the letter from Catty it says they'll be enemies so I really don't think it will be that hard to wrap their storyline up, however I doubt if Lynne will decide to play it out or not.

So I've been thinking, in book 8 it says Serena's 17th birthday is coming up and book 13 takes place about a year after that so shouldn't she already be 17?

I agree. I think she's already made her choice and has assumed the role of dark goddess.
I think they overthrow the Atrox and Stanton and Serena assume the role king and queen of nefandus and in some capacity cleanse it and make it something...good.

I read the end of book 8 again and it didn't say when she would turn 17 just that it was "quickly approaching" so I don't think she'll have made her choice yet, although it'd be a lot more interesting if she has...
