It has to be either Jimena or Vanessa. As a lot of people have stated Jimena and Vanessa had a hard time accepting that they were Daughters of the moon. in book #10 (the talisman) is says,
"...This time an ancient moon goddess had to come to earth, but as often happened, she had no awareness of her true identity. The girl was hostile and filled with too much self-confidence. What would she do when she learned the truth? It had been nearly impossible to convince her that she was a Daughter of the Moon, and now Maggie had to tell her that she was an ancient goddess and destined to take Maggie's place..."
So it can't be Tianna, Catty, or Serna. That only leaves Jimena and Catty.

I agree it's either Vanessa or Jimena, but Vanessa doesn't have too much self-confidence, she barely has any!

it ALSO could be Tianna, 'cos in book6, she was too self-confident with herself... and i think everyone had a hard time believing they were Daughters, except for Catty. When Maggie said it was "impossible to convince her" it doesn'y mean that the mentor is the one who didn't believe for the longest time... so there's a 50:50 chance that Tianna is the mentor... and it's been said SO MANY times, JIMENA'S BOOK IS NOT UNTIL NUMBER 15... the Daughters can't wait that long to have a mentor... just because u like Jimena (i like her too) it doesn't mean that it IS her... it might be her, or it might be Tianna... and Lynne Ewing said that "Tianna was the characted who surprised her the most with what has happened to her..."

Jimena has to be the new mentor. It can't be Tianna b/c Maggie siad the new mentor was someone who it took her over a year to beleive she was a goddess, and it didn't take that for Tianna, Maggie never came to her in her dreams and tried to convince her or anything. And also, like ppl have been saying, Jimena can't just drop out of the story like that.
